Our Direct Card Printers are fast and durable, low-cost solutions for companies, clubs, organizations and agencies. Images are printed directly onto the surface of a plastic card. Direct Card Printing is most commonly used for mid- and entry level security needs.
Our EDIsecure® XID Retransfer print technology provides over-the-edge full-color printing with outstanding image quality and enables printing even on longer-lasting non-PVC cards for more durability. It is ideal for applications which require offset-like printing quality. XID Retransfer technology does not print information directly onto a card, but instead prints on retransfer film, which is laminated onto the card surface. Therefore, the card body is better protected and its durability is improved substantially. Our EDIsecure® printer portfolio consists of eight top-of-the-line printers, available either as part of the Value Line for basic photo ID card production, or as part of the Professional Line for more demanding applications which require a higher security level and truly secure credentials.
Value Line
The Value Line consists of the EDIsecure® DCP100 entry-level desktop Direct Card Printer (single- or double-side printing with manual card feeding), the single-side, edge-to-edge EDIsecure® DCP 240+ Direct Card Printer and the double-side, edge-to-edge EDIsecure® DCP 340+ Direct Card Printer.
Professional Line
Our Professional Line printers are designed for more demanding ID applications such as smart card personalization, ranging from card printing and inline encoding to high-speed ID production with inline lamination.
The Professional Line includes the double-side, edge-to-edge EDIsecure® DCP 360i Professional Direct Card Printer and the EDIsecure® XID Retransfer Printer family consisting of four powerful and versatile models: the XID 560ie, the XID 570ie, the XID 580ie, and the XID 590ie. All XID Retransfer Printers now offer enhanced encoding and lamination options as well as new product features designed to increase card security.
The EDIsecure® Advanced Chip Encoding Framework (CEF) is a powerful EDIsecure® XID 5xxie Series based toolkit for ID applications with the independent inline encoding of various chip technologies.
Advanced IPM allows the connection of up to seven units of our premier EDIsecure® XID 590ie Retransfer Printer to one print station for high-capacity card production (up to 840 cards per hour) within a parallel workflow. This allows for extremely flexible and fluid workloads.
