A high-security feature to improve the protection against alteration and replacement of the applicant’s photo is Invisible Personal Information (IPI), which links the encrypted photo to the owner and to the ID document and therefore adds high-security against counterfeiting to the complete credential. This information is not detectable to the naked eye, but can be made visible by use of a simple decoding device. The use of IPI requires an additional license agreement.
